Bridesmaids are more than just moral support and a physical witness to a magical union…they can be resourceful, pragmatic, thoughtful and downright hilarious. I love them.  At a recent wedding that I photographed in Bilpin I was ushered in to the spare room of the farm house by two bridesmaids…and I was speechless! They wanted to do some "secret portraits" in the room where the drapes and the bedspread were SO very almost the same fabric as their dresses. It was like floral camouflage!  What followed was a very fun filled “secret” photoshoot that the bride had NO idea of until she received her photos. Hilarious! To see the official photographs ...

I am THRILLED to bits!WHITE Magazine have featured our epic "Brid, Bride, Flight" photoshoot on their BLOG (BLOG link here).Scenic views and wildflowers are the canvas for this collaboration that I photographed in our local Blue Mountains bushland. The incredible floral bouquets by Edith from Floral Ink accented our gorgeous camelion of a model Sascha, who wore vintage lace dresses by Lost In Paris. Tania Bowers worked her magic with dramatic hair and make-up on a wind swept cliff top. Feathered Friends brought along their captivating owls to add another level of awe to this experience. So this INCREDIBLE coincidence was brought to my attention not long after I had photographed the Bird, Bride, Flight in the Blue Mountains : Gabriela Tylesova's costume design for the Fairy of Wisdom for the Australian Ballet!!!! The Blue Mounatins is full of gems! I have been photographing the beautiful work of contemporary jewellery artist Madeleine Chalfant Yates.Her delicately handcrafted jewellery is inspired by the natural world around us.  The mountain studio where she creates from is like a bower - full of tiny samples of textures and forms she collects on her daily walks through the bush with her trust dog Lily.Madeleine's work is currently on display in a POP-UP shop at 182 Katoomba Street, Katoomba.
